Wow, Catherines has surprised me! Typically when I think of the store Catherines, I think of really out dated, out of style, clothes for someone maybe in their 70's. However this has won me over!

"More to Love"
Ok, so I was excited for this show to start. I even posted a previous blog about casting calls for the show... But what a disappointment. http://www.fox.com/moretolove/
I was in tears watching this show. I am a a Plus Size woman, but according to this TV show, I must be a freaking Plus Size WHALE.
I was glad to see a show that had bigger women on it. But even "their" big women were small compared to me. I would consider 85% of those girls to be chunky. I told my husband I bet not one woman would be over 250. Im sorry but when you're 5'10 and 175 pounds, you aren't fat. Try being my size! And all these stories about them never having dates was so hard to believe. All the girls were pretty, and thank god most had tummies and a few rolls. But all the big girls I know would not show up wearing a TIGHT form fitting dress or let half their back show and arms.
The average girl was around 5'6 and 180-220. The biggest girl on the show was 5'10 and 275 pounds. I was so excited when a girl was over 250.... But did she get picked to continue? NO! The stupid guy, Luke - who is 6'3 and 330) picked all the "Skinny" fat girls. So it goes to show, he may like curvy, but he doesn't like fat. Ugh!
I guess I'm just so "large" that I was hoping to see "Bigger" women on there. Did anyone else watch the show?

Where do I begin... I've tried keeping up with Website Wednesday and Friday's Fabulous Find, but I've been slacking lately. I think I'm going to retire my Wednesday and Friday themes. No worries, if I run across any fabulous finds I will definitely share them with you!
I know some of this has already been blogged, About 2 months ago my company had to reduce my hours to part time. That's a huge hit to my family. My husband and I started making cuts where we could. We reduced our car insurance, we cleaned out the storage unit (and now all that junk is stored in our little 2 bedroom apartment!) and we've reduced our cell phone service to a minimum. We use dial up internet and we don't have cable. We should be OK right?... wrong. When I get depressed I eat and shop. Well eating isn't good when you are as big as me and shopping is the worse thing to do when you have no money! I know there are people out there a lot worse off, and I am very thankful for what we do have, especially the jobs and dependable car and a roof over our head. It's just something I'm not use to and am struggling with.
So, I went and got a part time job. It doesn't pay well and it's 20 minutes away, but I've been looking for a part time (or even a new full time) job since May. This was the only offer so I wasn't going to let it slip away. I started last week. I am an Order Entry Specialist for a Toy Company. So far things are good. I finished my training on Friday and the group I work with is a lot of fun. I just can't wait for the pay check! My husband and I need it so bad.
Does anyone have any tips or ideas on how to manage money and budget? I am horrible at it. I have a budget, but if I have $2 dollars I'm going to spend it. Mom suggested putting our debit cards away. Our credit cards are maxed, so using them isn't an issue. I break down into tears because living paycheck to paycheck isn't fun. Heck, we don't even make it paycheck to paycheck, it's more like paycheck to Wednesday!
Things will get better, they have too. It's not an option.
Danny & I celebrate our 1 year anniversary next week and I can't even afford a gift. Talk about sucking. That one year is such a big milestone and so important. We have a free night stay at the casino, but that seems dangerous to me. I am not one to just toss my money away, but those flashy lights and cha-chinging sounds of the machines just tempt me. So even tho the hotel is free, I'm sure it would cost us in the end. Any ideas on what I can do for my husband for our one year?
I think I'm done rambling for now, I plan on posting a blog on the new show "More to Love" later on today, if time allows.

Website Wednesday!
Good Morning everyone! Happy Website Wednesday and happy 1st day of July!
My husband and I like to dine out and we have those few favorite menu items that we love and wish we could make at home, like TGI Friday's Jack Daniel Glaze or Red Lobster Biscuits! My husband stumbled over this website and I thought I'd share. www.copykat.com has a TON of recipes, including my Jack Daniel Glaze and Biscuits! It also has a lot of the restaurant recipes, a lot of other great recipes and discussion boards. I think it's a good site to stick into your favorites. I know we are going to try a few of our favorite recipes at home now and hopefully save a little money too!

Friday's Fabulous Find!
I just realized this is my 102nd post! Yay!
TGIF! What a sad week in the entertainment industry. Ed, Farrah and Michael. Michael was my Elvis. I'm still in shock. I know the man got creepy, and was "accused" of child molestation, but the man was talented. That's what we need to remember, how he could write, sing and dance. Radio stations have been playing blocks of Michael Music. He has soooo many great songs!! I said it yesterday, he will be missed, but never forgotten. RIP Michael.
