Jack's 2nd Birthday

On March 15th, my little puppy Jack, celebrated his 2nd Birthday.
This year I was going to bake him his own treats, however I ran out of time.  I bought him a cookie from Three Dog Bakery.  Jack has a sensitive stomach and we try to keep to basic ingredients.  We bought him the basic bone cookie and had it personalized with his name.  He looks all excited in his pictures, however he wasn't a big fan of his bone!  He didn't eat one bite!

Three Dog Bakery is a fabulous bakery, the food looks so good, I want to eat it!  Click here to see if there is a location close to you!

Sick Babies

I hate having sick babies.  Jack and Fred are both sick.  This is the second time to the vet's office this week.  We received some new medicine and a shot in both dogs.  I hope it works.  The  poor little guys aren't eating, they have a croupy cough, jack is vomiting and they have runny noses.  It just breaks my heart that my babies are sick.

101 list update!

I was able to accomplish a few more items on my list and wanted to share.

#19.  On September 7th, I purchased a slightly used dryer from my friend Nancy.  Our old dryer was so horrible that we had to cycle it twice on the maximum minutes allowed to dry one small load.  I'm sure it was also costing us a lot on our electric bill.  The new one drys in 30 minutes!

#33.  I have been working with Jack on a new trick, and he finally has caught on!  I was so excited when he shook my hand for the first time!  He got double treats that day.  We've been practicing daily and it's paid off.  Way to go my baby Jack!

#49. Is being substituted, I am being laid off so that goal becomes unrealistic for me to reach, so I added #49a - Find a Permanent Job.

I've been accomplishing my daily, monthly and weekly goals as well, and I just finished my first book.

#76. I read "Judgment in Death" by Nora Roberts writing as J.D. Robb. I liked this book, to my surprise I read it in a week. Usually it takes me months to read a book. I believed they called it a "romance thriller?" I guess it was. There was romance and killing involved. At times the book was very detailed, a bit more detailed then what I was comfortable with reading it at my second job. I’m not big on book reviews because I feel they give away too much of the story line, but here is just a brief glimpse into the book.
The story is based in 2059, New York. A female Homicide detective by the name of Eve Dallas sets out to find a cop killer. The End. :) That’s all you get from me.
However I did enjoy the book, it kept me interested, and I plan to read more from the J.D. Robb "In Death" series.

Ice Cream Madness!

Who can help but be outside in this weather?! I know I keep saying how nice it's been, but I can't help it! It's been about 8o with the sun and a warm breeze. It's so perfect! (remind me of this in a month or two when I am refusing to go out side because I live in Kansas where the humidity makes it miserable to even get out of bed!)

Danny and I decided to go out for a little treat earlier this week. We'd been busy getting things ready for a garage sale and thought all our hard work deserved a reward. A chocolate dipped ice cream cone. Yummy. I just had to share a few pictures with you. I'm a sucker for Jack's puppy dog eyes when he begs... so i gave in and gave him the rest of my cone...Max even got a piece of the action.

Happy Birthday Jack!

Today is Jack's 1st birthday! We celebrated yesterday evening with a dog cake from ThreeDogBakery . They did a great job on his cake and he loved it! I know, I'm a little silly buying my dog a birthday cake, but it was his first bithday, and he is my little baby. :)
I was also able to get some scrapping done this weekend. I still think my pages look boring compared to all these scrapping sites and blogs i look at. I just not sure about using so much stuff for one or two pictures....and I dont have a good die cut machine. I just can't seem to stomach the $200-$500 for the machine alone, then spend anywhere from $10-$100 on the diecuts and programs to use the dang machine. I think Minnie Mouse page is my favorite :)
